About the
International Cooperation Section:
ICS provides
opportunities for participation in international cooperation
projects, promotes awareness of international issues, provides a
mechanism for addressing and responding to the needs of
international members, and fosters communication in the
international library area. Members will get the ICS newsletter, be
added to the membership directory, and join in the discussion
list.

MLA Donates to China Earthquake Recovery Efforts The MLA Board of Directors approved a $5,000 donation from MLA's Medical Library Disaster Relief Fund, part of the association's Librarians Without Borders (SM) program, to the Chinese American Library Association (CALA) to support earthquake recovery efforts in China. At least twenty-one libraries were severely damaged or destroyed in Sichuan Province. CALA has set up a donation site for those who want to contribute.

Partnership Committee (HSLP):
The Committee seeks to encourage and facilitate the formation of health science
library partnerships throughout the world and provides a forum for information
sharing and cultural exchange between librarians, as a means of enhancing knowledge
