National Expert on Evidence-Based Education Reform Named NWREL Deputy Chief
Steve Fleischman, who has served as a vice president at the American Institutes for Research (AIR) since 2006, will join the Northwest Regional Educational Laboratory (NWREL) as the second in command, beginning in mid-February.

Learn to use culturally responsive, standards-based teaching to engage hard-to-reach students by tapping into their family, community, and culture. NWREL's Child and Family Program offers services and resources on this research-based process known as Classroom to Community and Back.About NWREL

The Northwest Regional Educational Laboratory's goal is to make a positive difference in the lives of students and the educators who support their learning. We work closely with schools, districts, and other agencies to develop creative and practical solutions to important educational challenges.
NWREL's core beliefs:
