The BoatU.S. Foundation asks you to join in our efforts to “Help Stop the Drops.” This nationwide clean fueling education campaign targets the drips and drops that accidentally escape from boats and fueling nozzles during refueling and routine boat maintenance. Small spills may seem insignificant and difficult to avoid, but the cumulative impact can be quite damaging. If each boater and marina does their part to Help Stop the Drops, our waters can remain healthy and inviting for swimming, fishing and boating.

Whether you are a boater, a fuel dock employee, or a marina owner there are steps you can take to reduce the possibility of spilling fuel or oil into the water. It doesn’t matter if you operate an inboard or an outboard, or have a gas or diesel engine, there are techniques and products that can help keep fuel where it belongs…in the tank, not in the water!
