Ovid—the search system for PsycINFO, AGRICOLA, Health and Psychosocial Instruments (HaPI), and MEDLINE®—has released a new interface called OvidSP. It has a different look with several enhancements and features.
- Basic Search – Enter medical terms, everyday language, or a question in the search box. The new search engine processes the results and ranks the citations by relevancy.
- Annotate Results – Add personal notes to citations. When you come across the citations again, you will see your notes: "Read this"; "Already have a copy"; "Gave copy to Robert."
- Search Aid – Refine your initial searches with this tool, which displays the number of individual topics, authors, and journals retrieved by your search.
- Sort Results – Sort search results by fields such as authors, titles, format covered, population group, and year of publication.
OvidSP will replace the current Ovid interface in February 2008.
