Information Science and Technology Center

The Information Science and Technology Center (ISTC) at Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL) provides a connection to program management for capability needs and provides IS&T integration and support for mission-critical centers and activities, such as MaRIE (matter-radiation interactions in extremes) and the new Bio-Security and Energy Security centers.

ISTC strives to enhance LANL’s capabilities in scientific information science and technology by

  • fostering science, technology, and engineering to address LANL, DOE, and national IS&T needs;
  • coordinating Lab-wide scientific IS&T efforts and aligning them with future needs; and
  • positioning LANL to compete in larger markets for funding in this important and growing area.
