Lower Rio Grande, Texas

Location

This study area is located principally in the four southernmost counties in Texas—Starr, Hidalgo, Cameron, and Willacy. This area consists of approximately 4,240 square miles. (Detail map pdf)

Status

Data collected during the reconnaissance studies indicate that concentrations of dissolved minor elements in water generally are small. The NIWQP is no longer involved at this location.
