A preliminary meeting was held to receive public comments and plan next steps: stakeholders will develop a plan for creating a strategic plan for the sector that will make meaningful contributions to occupational safety and health beyond efforts of the NIOSH mining program and the Mining Safety and Health Research Advisory Committee (MSHRAC).
