Feeder Cattle Weighted Average Report for 09/16/2008

   Compared to last week, a light offering of feeder steers and heifers 
traded with a sharply lower undertone amid concerns of changing weather 
and world financial markets. Slaughter cows steady to 2.00 lower. 
Receipts were curtailed this week after heavy weekend rains caused creeks 
to rise and lots to turn to mud, and several offerings were carrying that 
mud as proof. Supply light, mostly singles and small pkgs available again 
this week, and demand light to moderate. Cows and bulls accounted for 32 
percent of the total offering. The feeder supply consisted of 47 percent 
steers and bulls and 53 percent heifers; 53 percent of all the feeders 
weighed over 600 lbs.

Cow Sale on Saturday, September 27th.
