Cafeterias and Snack Bar -- Gaithersburg

Cafeterias

NIST operates two cafeterias on the Gaithersburg campus:

The main cafeteria is in the Administration Bldg. (Bldg. 101). Hours of operation:

  • Breakfast:  7:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.
  • Breakfast Break: 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
  • Lunch: 11 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. 
  • Happy Hour: 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. (30 percent off on salad bar and hot bar)

A second cafeteria is located on the main floor of  the Supply & Plant Bldg. (Bldg. 301). Hours of operation:

  • Breakfast: 6:30 a.m. to 10 a.m.
  • Breakfast Break: 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
  • Lunch: 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.
  • Happy Hour: 1:00 p.m to 2:30 p.m.(30 percent off salad bar and hot bar)

Snack Bars/News Stands   

The Gaithersburg campus also has a snack bar/news stand:

N & SJ Snack Bar -- located in the basement of the Administration Bldg., across from elevators

  •    Hours of Operation -- 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
