The weekly reports contain information on earthquakes in Northern California.

    The older reports are filed by the day they were produced. Note that the directory listing is alphabetical so the months are not in chronological order. The more recent reports are in html and will come up as normal web pages. Older reports (before Feb. '98) will give you a directory listing and the weekmap.dos files are the text.

The weekly report is serviced by 4 separate email lists: one for the text and one for each of the three maps. This allows you to tailor the reports to your individual needs.

Weekly Reports via Usenet  

The weekly reports are posted to the following Usenet newsgroups:

  • ca.earthquakes
  • sci.geo.geology
  • sci.geo.earthquakes

These groups can be accessed with many web browsers and newsreading programs. For further information see the documentation that came with your web browser or ask for help from your online service. How you read newsgroups varies a lot depending on your software so we can not give you further help with this.
