United States Patent and Trademark Office Notification of 2008 Business Methods Partnership Meeting

The United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) announces the 2008 Business Methods Partnership Meeting to be hosted by the director and managers of the Business Methods workgroup. Members of the public are invited to attend the Partnership Meeting. The Partnership Meeting is an opportunity for an informal discussion on many topics specific to business methods. Subject matter eligibility under 35 U.S.C. 101, and other topical legal issues will be addressed by the Deputy Commissioner for Patent Examination Policy. Additionally, a brief Q&A session with the Commissioner for Patents and the Deputy Commissioner for Patent Operations will also be on the agenda. While public attendees will have the opportunity to provide their individual input, group consensus advice will not be sought.

**The agenda has been updated to further include a presentation on the Peer-to-Patent Project pilot for the Business Methods area.**

DATES AND LOCATION: The Partnership Meeting will be held on Thursday, May 29, 2008, from 1:00 P.M.-5:00 P.M. at the USPTO MADISON AUDITORIUM (SOUTH), Concourse Level, Madison Building, 600 Dulany Street, Alexandria, VA 22313.
