AASL is offering 30 first-time attendees the opportunity to experience National Conference with grants for $750 to be used for travel, hotel, or registration. Sponsored by Bound To Stay Bound Books, all applications must be postmarked by March 2, 2009. Registration for AASL 14th National Conference & Exhibition opens January 20, 2009.

AASL releases two toolkits focused on advocacy during tough times
AASL recently launched two new toolkits exclusively for school library media programs. The School Library Media Health & Wellness and Crisis Toolkits are designed to address the needs of and resources available to school library media specialists to build stakeholder support in their programs.
