We have made your quest for answers somewhat challenging. Remember there is no deadline for completion, but when you have finished and sent in your answers, the rewards are significant. As a U.S. World Heritage Junior Ranger, you will receive a U.S. World Heritage Junior Ranger Badge, a certificate of achievement, and a brochure on the U.S. World Heritage program.

Welcome to the U.S. World Heritage Junior Ranger Website.

To replay the graphic introduction, refresh this web-page by clicking (F5).

There are five Activities and five Questions that must be completed in your quest to become a U.S. World Heritage Jr. Ranger.

Complete the Question Section first, as that page provides an overview of the U.S. World Heritage Program. Then complete the five fun activities which provide a bit of review on what you've learned. You must complete all of them in order to qualify as a World Heritage Junior Ranger.

Good luck!

World Heritage Sites are found throughout the world in 145 different countries. They are exceptional protected areas that have received special recognition as being the world's most important places. Examples of World Heritage Sites include the Grand Canyon, the Great Wall of China, the Tower of London and many others.

The U.S. World Heritage Junior Ranger Program is available to children from the ages of between 8 to 14 to enjoy. Though you can visit many of the U.S. World Heritage Sites which are U.S. National Parks and complete their respective Junior Ranger programs, this program is meant to be completed entirely just by using this website.

To complete the requirements for this program, you will only need to download the Booklet and answer the questions and complete the activities. When you are finished, fill in your name and address in the spaces provided in the booklet, have your parents or guardian sign the form and then mail it back to us. When we receive your completed booklet and we've had a chance to review it, we will mail you your World Heritage in the U.S. Junior Ranger kit, which includes a Junior Ranger badge, certificate of accomplishment and U.S. World Heritage brochure. If you need the help of your parents to finish the booklet, that’s OK.

Our mascot, Wally the U.S. World Heritage Wolf, will provide hints along the way. Enjoy!

Though all World Heritage Sites are considered by many people to be the very best natural or cultural protected areas throughout the world, we'll just be concentrating mainly on the World Heritage sites found in the United States.
