COMPLAINT REGARDING INVENTION PROMOTERDATE OF CORRESPONDENCE: October 3, 2005 Name of the Invention Promotion Company: Davison & Associates, Inc. Invention Promoter's Address: 595 Alpha Drive, Pittsburgh, PA 15238-2911 Complainant's Name: Jeffrey M. Fine Complainant's Address: 7361 N. Brilliant Sky Way, Prescott Valley, AZ 86314 Customer's Name: WHAT IS YOUR COMPLAINT?Name of mass media invention promoter advertised in: Internet Invention promotion services offered to be performed: Product and patent research, design of my invention, develop and produce a prototype and packaging Explanation of complaint between customer and invention promoter: I am in the design stage of my project with Davison Inc. and it's not going well. I, like hundreds of other people, have experienced dissatisfaction with their services and work relationship. In fact, they have presented themselves to be something they are not and have committed themselves to do something they can't. Davison called me today regarding the design stage status - (Davison) said that the design stage would be done by the end of next week (9/30/05) which would make it a 14 week project - 12 weeks was projected - since they just started last week this means the whole 3 months that I've been waiting has been for nothing. They will probably do the whole design project in about 2 weeks. I am not very happy about their services and them fulfilling their agreement. I asked him () while I was on the phone if he could give me the disclosure document filing # - he said it would take him a week to get. I already have the number, which I got in 5 minutes when I called the USPTO. He questioned why I was asking for it and asked if I was working with an attorney. His attitude changed for the worse at that point and became short and rude. I stated that it was not his business if I was or wasn't working with an attorney. If he does not fulfill his commitments according to our contract then contacting my attorney would be my objective Today I also talked with Davison () about the design of my project. I told him that I didn't want to change the design of the project from its original design. He said no, we have to because it would be more cost effective to have the _______ be the same shape and size and that they were going to sew the pieces on the ________. I stated that I disagreed with him and that I wanted it to be the same as the original design I sent him. He said that I would have to give him more money if I wanted it that way. As he got more disgruntled I told him that I would have to see the final design before I approve only because he backed me into a financial corner and I knew at this point I wasn't going to proceed with Davison. Because of the research I did regarding all the complaints, litigation and the FTC's reports, I will not give them more money but I will proceed with what I have paid them for and that is to get Davison to design what I want and own, the way I want it. Like everybody else, things are starting not to add up?
