Recue worker carrying two animal cages The Continuity of Operations (COOP) Planning Division (CPD), under the Assistant Secretary for Administration, Office of Security Services, serves as USDA's focal point for continuity of operations (COOP) program planning and activities, as well as coordination of national security activities. Additionally, CPD supports the USDA senior leadership by providing regular intelligence reports and products.
COOP responsibilities include establishment of guidance for development of USDA COOP plans; development and maintenance of the USDA COOP template; coordination of the development and maintenance of the USDA Headquarters COOP Plan; and review and monitoring of USDA agency and staff office COOP programs and plans.
