Human Resources Budget Impacts
The general funds appropriated to Clemson University in fiscal year 2008-2009 were less than its general funds the previous fiscal year. Additional permanent funding cuts during the year currently total approximately $25 million, with uncertainty concerning further cuts during the year.
A mandatory furlough program is being instituted for the entire University to address the critical shortage in funds and to avoid incurring an operating deficit this fiscal year.
