Acute Health Effects: From MSDS
2-Butoxyethanol may cause corneal injury and blood abnormalities, may be absorbed through skin with toxic effects, and may cause damage to spleen and testes.

MEDICAL CONDITIONS GENERALLY AGGRAVATED BY EXPOSURE: None reported.
Chronic Health Effects: From MSDS
A two year feeding study in rats showed the aromatic diamine caused effects in the pancreas, liver, thyroid and eyes.
Carcinogenicity: From MSDS
A two year feeding study in rats showed the aromatic diamine (Part B) caused an increase in the number of tumors in the liver and thyroid of male rats and in the liver and possibly mammary gland of female rats.
First Aid: From MSDS
Inhalation: Remove person to fresh air. Give oxygen if breathing is difficult. Obtain immediate medical attention.
Eye Contact: Flush thoroughly with water for at least 15 minutes while lifting upper and lower lids. Get immediate medical attention.
Skin contact: In case of skin contact, wash with soap and water for 15 minutes. Launder clothing before reuse.

Ingestion of Part A (urethane pre-polymer): Do not induce vomiting. Drink plenty of water to dilute material in stomach. Call a physician.
Ingestion of Part B (Aromatic diamine): Induce vomiting immediately. Get medical attention. Do not give anything by mouth to an unconscious person.
