The following Guide has been designed to help you get published in an Elsevier publication as quickly and easily as possible.

There are several things you can do as an author to prevent delays in the publishing process.

Steps to submitting your paper for publication:

1. Download your journal's 'Guide for Authors'
   Each Elsevier journal has its own 'Guide for Authors' and requirements for submission.

2. Format your document   Format your LaTeX document
    Ensure your text is properly formatted

3. Prepare graphics, photos and charts
    All visuals abide by journal standards

4. Draft a cover letter
    All submissions must be accompanied by a cover letter.

5. Edit your manuscript
    Your manuscript has been thoroughly checked for errors

6. Re-check your journal's 'Guide for Authors' to ensure proper preparation

7. Review the submission checklist

8. Submit your manuscript according to your journal's instructions.

9. Complete the actions required after your paper has been accepted.
