16.  Comparing Treatment for Women with DCIS
(Posted: 03/08/2005) - In this trial, researchers are investigating whether anastrazole is more effective than tamoxifen in preventing DCIS recurrence and invasive breast cancer development in postmenopausal women treated with lumpectomy and radiation therapy for DCIS.

17.  Ovarian Cancer Prevention and Early Detection Study
(Posted: 03/16/2004) - This national trial will more precisely quantify the extent of cancer risk reduction following preventive surgery, assess both quality of life and the incidence of non-cancer diseases related to premature menopause, as well as evaluate a novel approach to ovarian cancer screening.

18.  Breast Imaging Study
(Posted: 02/10/2004) - This breast imaging study is exploring whether MRI can detect cancer better than standard mammography in women who have a genetic risk.

19.  STAR Trial for the Prevention of Breast Cancer
(Posted: 01/20/2004) - STAR will determine whether the osteoporosis prevention drug raloxifene is as effective as the cancer prevention drug tamoxifen in reducing the chance of developing breast cancer in postmenopausal women.
