Green Library handles both Print
and Media course reserves for
most courses in the humanities and social sciences. Green Library
Print Reserves is located on the first floor of the East Wing, behind
the Loan Desk. Media Reserves is located on the lower level of the
East Wing, in the Media-Microtext
Center. Hours of operation vary for each desk: please check the hours page for more information.
Finding Reserves Material
To find reserves materials, students should search the reserves
catalog by either instructor's last name (e.g., Abernathy), or
Course Number (e.g., Econ 150). Because of the heavy demand for these
materials, there is a limit on the number of items that can be checked
out at one time, their loan period is short, and the fines for late
returns are high.
Submitting Reserves Lists
Reserves lists can be submitted electronically or in standard paper
form (SUL 33) via fax, in person, or ID mail. Before submitting
a list, instructors should make sure they are familiar with the
guidelines for doing so.
- The Print Reserves office may be contacted via the Green
Loan Desk, on the first floor of the Green Library, East
Wing (please enquire at the desk for assistance.)
- The Media Reserves office is on the lower level, in the Media-Microtext
Center (please enquire at the desk for assistance.)
