Lawyer Referrals

The SEC's Office of Investor Education and Advocacy often receives investors’ complaints that may only be resolved if investors take legal action on their own. If you need help in finding a lawyer who specializes in resolving securities complaints, you may want to ask for a referral from a list of bar associations. In addition, several law schools provide New York State residents who have limited income or small dollar claims with free legal representation through arbitration clinics.

We are providing this information for your convenience. We cannot endorse or recommend a specific lawyer to you, vouch for the competence of any lawyer recommended to you by a bar association or referral service, or recommend the services of one bar association over another. Phone numbers and fees may change over time, so please note that all listings are subject to change.
