I’m featured in this months Hi Fructose magazine among many other great artists. I’m very humbled that I was chosen. Annie and Atta are good people. There’s a few images below of Glenn Barr’s great cover and my spread. Cheers.
Here’s my painting for Baby Tattooville Weekend. The theme for this years artists is “Youth is wasted on the young.” The title of my painting is “4:20″. Pretty self explanatory.

I did a custom black eye Luey for Baby Tattooville weekend. Courtesy of Strange and myself. They will only be available through the event. Cool other goodies will be given away at the event from some pretty big name artists.
I’ll be one of the featured artists at this years Baby Tattooville at the historic Mission Inn Hotel and Spa in Riverside. It will be a good time. 50 people will be attending the event and will go away with some cool stuff from the 10 artists that will be giving talks, painting demos, etc. For more information go to BabyTattooville.com.
Below are a few paintings I’ve been working on for my next show at Billy Shire Fine Arts. The show will be a 3 person on February 14th 2009. I’ll have around 10 to 15 new paintings for sale. More images to come later. The theme for this show is beach/surf culture .
I worked on a book cover last year for Random House called “Heck: Where the Bad Kids Go” written by Dale E. Basye. It was a good time. There’s a pretty cool website that illustrates what the book is about. Just go to www.wherethebadkidsgo.com
I painted the cover and drew the interior drawings. Currently I’m working on the second book called “Rapacia”.
“The Orphaned Works Bill (S.2913) is deceptive Trojan horse legislation that is designed to hi-jack the ownership of visual works by their creator” Brad Holland
My friend Tony Bailey wrote the paragraph below.
“I’m not talented enough to summarize the treachery to you in a few lines, but if you would please spend just a few minutes listening to an mp3 interview that Brad Holland gave last month I think you will see (and seeth) like I have over the last couple of hours why this is clearly a mistake.”
Please write your congressman or senator and say you oppose this bill. It’s very important.

I’ll get right to the point… Cancer sucks. I lost my brother to Leukemia in 1985. On a more hopeful note, Bob Dob was diagnosed with Osteosarcoma of the knee in 1987 and - thankfully - recovered. It’s really impossible to describe the heartbreak and helplessness felt from these devastating illnesses.
In 2006 Thumbtack Press raised $1000 for St. Jude Childen’s Research Hospital with a giving challenge, but that was a “drop in the vast sea” when it comes to cancer research. This year we are going to donate over $3500 with your help. Bob Dob has graciously donated all of his commissions for “Lonely Day” for the cause, likewise, Thumbtack Press will donate all proceeds of this print run to St. Jude… Every single penny.
Here’s more good news: YOU get a Thumbtack Press-quality, hand signed limited edition print from Bob Dob for $75. It’s really a Win-Win-Win-Win situation. Want to help but don’t have the money? Please blog, e-mail, talk to everyone you know about this. Thanks.
A little about St. Jude:
“St. Jude is unlike any other pediatric treatment and research facility anywhere. Discoveries made here have completely changed how the world treats children with cancer and other catastrophic diseases. We are where some of today’s most gifted researchers are able to do more science, more quickly. Where doctors across the world send their toughest cases and most vulnerable patients. Where no one pays for treatment beyond what is covered by insurance, and those without insurance are never asked to pay. We’ve built America’s 3rd-largest health-care charity, with a model that keeps the costs down and the funds flowing, so the science never stops.”
I recently painted a skate deck to benefit two good causes. Click on the links below for more info. The flyer above has any info if you plan on attending.
