Forest Advisory Committee to Discuss Dam Re-licensing, White Pass Ski Area and Other TopicsVANCOUVER, WA -- An assessment of Gifford Pinchot National Forest bridges, and a presentation on effects to the Forest of recent and planned Federal Energy Regulatory Commission dam re-licensing actions, will be topics at a January 27 meeting of the Southwest Washington Province Advisory Committee. There will also be an update on the proposed expansion of the White Pass Ski Area. The public is encouraged to attend this meeting. An "Open Forum" session will be held at 1:30 p.m. , providing interested citizens an opportunity to address the Advisory Committee. The meeting is set for: The meeting will begin at 9:30 a.m. and continue until approximately 3:30 pm. Province Advisory Committees assist Federal agencies in the implementation of the Northwest Forest Plan. The Southwest Washington Province Advisory Committee provides policy advice and recommendations for National Forest lands in southwest Washington . The Advisory Committee includes members of local, State, Tribal, and Federal governments, as well as citizens representing a broad variety of interests.
