The Latest News from How The Weatherworks

Our NEW web page debuts this month after more than a year of development. The site features an entire new organizational framework, improved navigation, a forum, links to published content articles in weather, math and other subject areas and much more. Give the site a test drive and let us know what you think (good, bad or otherwise).

A NEW series entitled “Weather and Climate of the States,” is now appearing in Weatherwise Magazine. In November 2008, the initial article – Florida – appeared. Alaska followed in January 2009. Additional articles will appear during the next several years until all states (or groups of states) and Puerto Rico have been published. The articles are being written by state experts including climatologists, private sector meteorologists, university faculty and others. H. Michael Mogil conceived the idea for the series, is co-authoring the articles and is serving as its organizational editor.
