CFFO's New Leadership

President and Vice-Presidents
Henry Stevens, a broiler producer from Palmerston, is the new President of the CFFO. Stevens has extensive experience within the Federation's Board and committee structure. He has provided leadership in agricultural coalitions and within his commodity organization. New Vice-President, Lorne Small, is a sheep farmer from Kenilworth . He has served on the Ontario Sheep Marketing Agency, worked for several years as a provincial agricultural representative, and was the first appointed General Manager of the Ontario Dairy Herd Improvement Corp., when it was privatized. Returning as Vice-President is Gerald Poechman, an organic egg, beef and cash-crop farmer from Hanover . An Alumnus of the Advanced Agricultural Leadership Program, Poechman's commitment to the agricultural and rural community extends beyond CFFO and has included active involvement in other organizations.

Directors
The CFFO also has a full slate of qualified directors. Ted Van Den Hurk is a broiler and turkey broiler producer from near Stayner. In addition to serving on committees of the chicken and turkey boards, Van Den Hurk is a local coordinator of the Good Food Box Program and has served in Tanzania as an educator/missionary. Glen Duff is a hay and sheep producer from Rockwood. A recipient of the Governor General's commemorative 125th anniversary medal, Duff also previously worked for Ciba-Geigy Canada Ltd., responsible for Government Relations, Strategic Planning and Public Affairs. John Van Dyk is a dairy farmer from near Tavistock. He is an active participant in the CFFO's supply management committee, as well as the Perth County Milk Committee of Dairy Farmers Ontario. Ed Scharringa is a grower of specialty crops from near Rockton. He is active in greenhouse and outdoor cut flower production for Canadian and U.S. markets and previously owned and operated a farm retail division. Past President is John Kikkert, a chicken and turkey producer from Smithville. In addition to his activities on the farm, Kikkert is chairman of the Foundation of Niagara Christian Schools and a director on the Ontario Turkey Producers Marketing Board, where he is the Ontario Farm Animal Council representative.
