In another award presentation, Legg and State Director Slone joined Mayor Don Phelps of Science Hill and members of the Pulaski County Fiscal Court to mark the awarding of $1.5 million in funds to be used for the construction of 27 miles of waterlines, 2 storage tanks of 400,000 gallons total, and a booster pump station in the Science Hill community. Administrator Legg told the group that adequate infrastructure is essential for economic development in our rural communities. "One of the best parts of my job at RUS is being able to serve the people that I hold near and dear in rural America through projects like this one that will build infrastructure and ensure there is enough safe, clean water," said Legg.
