Wildland Fire Training and Conference Center

The WFTC was created to implement National Fire Plan direction for the accelerated development and training of wildland firefighters. WFTC provides classroom and meeting facilities for agency and public non-commercial functions.WFTC is home to the Wildland Firefighter Apprenticeship Program.

WFTC is centrally located in Sacramento, CA. serviced by air, rail and bus. Transportion from the Sacramento Airport to WFTC is readily available. WFTC is accessible from Highway 99, Interstates 5 and 80. WFTC has numerous hotels and restaurants within walking distance and/or 15 minutes driving time.

  • 17 instructor prep/break-out rooms 10 - 20 person capacity

  • McClellan Business Park provides 24 hour security for WFTC as well as the dormitories
