2008 FTA Substance Abuse Seminar - Dayton, Ohio
  • SEMINAR DESCRIPTION

    As an adjunct to the FTA Drug and Alcohol National Conference, the Federal Transit Administration recently hosted a one-day seminar designed to provide essential facts and information to facilitate employers' compliance with DOT's 49 CFR Part 40 and FTA's 49 CFR Part 655. While a high-level overview of the regulations will be discussed. The seminar focused on the operational side of a transit agency's functions and provided number of scenarios for participants to discuss. In addition, there was be a discussion on changes to the regulations that took effect this year. Prescription and Over-the-Counter drug use, and the U.S. DOT Drug and Alcohol Testing Data Collection Form and MIS reporting requirements were briefly covered.
