Guided student tours are offered at 10:30 a.m. weekdays, September through May. Reservations for guided tours must be made
at least three weeks in advance. To schedule a guided student tour, call 202-633-5535 (voice) or 202-633-9849 (TTY). A lunch room may be reserved by school groups for brown bag lunches.

Moving the Mail West
4th Grade-8th Grade (Tours adapted to each grade level)
Accommodates up to 60 students
Duration: One hour
Discover how the improvements in the transportation moving the mail west made it easier for people to move west. Become a historian and analyze primary sources and make conclusions. Experience working as a railway employee.
