Welcome to the Climate Calendar generator!

This product displays daily climate data for a location in a calendar format. For each day, the folowing data are displayed: Average maximum temperature, average minimum temperature, average daily heating and cooling degree days, average daily precipitation, record maximum temperature, record minimum temperature, and record daily precipitation. The calendar is in a "perpetual format", that is, a specific date is not tied to a day of the week.

In addition to the daily data, monthly statistics for the location are included (average and extreme temperature, precipitation and snowfall). Some locations may not collect temperature or snowfall data. If that is the case, those fields are blank on the calendar.

The average daily values are from 1971-2000 daily normals published by the National Climatic Data Center (NCDC). While many cooperative observers report temperature information, climatological normals are not calculated for all locations. If a location displays record temperatures but no daily averages, then there are no "published normals" for that location.

Record (extreme) values are updated on a near real-time basis, but are considered provisional until final, quality-controlled data is received from NCDC (about 6 months after the date).
