1. An early season winter snow storm dumped 10.8 inches of snow on Grand Forks, ND on October 24th, 2001. This was both a daily and monthly record. The old highest monthly October snow fall was 8.2 inches set in 1926. The daily total precipitation was 0.92 inches breaking the old record of 0.25 inches set in 1975.
