FHWA Strategic Plan Update

The Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) is currently preparing the first full-scale update of its 1998 strategic plan. A new long-term strategic plan will be released later in 2008. The objective of the plan update is to refresh FHWA's strategic planning framework based on current and emerging issues and trends in consideration of the need to refocus the Agency's post-Interstate vision and mission. The Strategic Initiatives Team in the Office of Policy and Governmental Affairs is responsible for the strategic plan update.
