Social and Economic Data - County Level Data

The County Level Data Sets  include over 200 variables from the 2000 General Population Census , the 1997 Census of Agriculture, and several special National Agricultural Statistical Service data runs done specifically for the Natural Resources Conservation Service. All records in the data sets are organized by county, and the 5 digit Federal Information Processing Standards code, state abbreviation, and county name are provided for each record. The files in this section are formatted in Microsoft Excel 97.

You may download the entire nation, a specific state, or a region (as defined by the NRCS regional boundaries). It is suggested that once you have standard data that you use the links below and download a copy of the data definitions.
