NIFI NEWS: A NIFI Interim Board of Directors is elected
The National Immigrant Farming Initiative took a significant step
forward in February, beginning an important transition from an
internally-led project of Heifer International, to a self-determined
organization with a board of directors, a fiscal agent, an executive
director, and a clear set of objectives.

GET COUNTED!

Make sure the government knows how many immigrant farmers contribute to US agricultural system.  In order for immigrant farmers to be better served by the US Department of Agriculture, they need to know how many immigrant farmers are out there. Recent census data under reports how many immigrants farm in the US. Make sure you and the immigrant farmers you work with get counted.
