This project was funded in part through a grant from the U. S.
Department of Agriculture (USDA), Food and Nutrition Service (FNS), for
the Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants and
Children (WIC). The Association of State and Territorial Public Health
Nutrition Directors (ASTPHND), with assistance from the Public Health
Nutrition Program at The University of Tennessee, Knoxville, conducted a
national enumeration census of the public health nutrition workforce,
including states and territories. The 2006-2007 workforce survey was
the latest in a series of survey administrations conducted by ASTPHND
since 1985.
The previous survey was administered in 1999-2000.
