ONE DAY

PRESIDENT GEORGE W. BUSH: When I took office an HIV diagnosis was usually a death sentence.

WE WILL HAVE THE TECHNOLOGY WE’VE BEEN MISSING

PRESIDENT BUSH: Parents watched their babies die needlessly because local clinics lacked effective treatments.

ONE DAY WE WILL HAVE THE RESOURCES TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE

PRESIDENT BUSH: This modern day plague robbed countries of the hope of progress.

ONE DAY YOU WILL HAVE THE POWER TO SAVE LIVES

DR. AGNES BINAGWAHO, EXECUTIVE SECRETARY, RWANDA HIV/AIDS COMMISSION: What we do here creates hope.

TREATMENT FOR 2 MILLION PEOPLE

DR AGNES: Education, health…

PREVENT 7 MILLION NEW INFECTIONS AND CARE FOR 10 MILLION PEOPLE WORLDWIDE

DR AGNES: It’s the best investment for the future because it brings the spirits of development, peace and security and when you do that somewhere, you build the development and peace of the world.

ONE DAY IS TODAY

DR AGNES: So we have our plan. Now we can ask our partners to come and support our plan.

PRESIDENT BUSH: Governments, the private sector and faith- and community-based organizations responded vigorously to this crisis.

ONE REMARKABLE FILM. FIFTEEN UNFORGETTABLE MINUTES IS ALL YOU NEED TO START MAKING A DIFFERENCE

DR. JEAN WILLIAM PAPE, DIRECTOR, GHESKIO: One of our main goals from day one is to prevent HIV.

PRESIDENT BUSH: This is really a story of the human spirit.

DR. PAPE: This is the first time ever there was such a huge commitment to fight one single disease.

BERTHA: I like to speak with other clients, other patients like me. I encourage them to use to continue to use these drugs without worry, to live with hope.

DR. PAPE: As a physician, there is nothing that could be more rewarding to have a patient who is dying asking you three months later for a job.

SAVING LIVES CREATING HOPE

PRESIDENT BUSH: The generosity of the American people is one of the great untold stories of our time.
