The MRCC Applied Climate System (MACS) is the new web-based data access system which will eventually replace the Midwestern Climate Information System (MICIS). MACS accesses the Applied Climate Information System (ACIS), a climate data management system developed and maintained by the NOAA Regional Climate Centers (RCCs).

We are currently in the process of converting many of the products on MICIS to MACS. When the MACS product suite has been completed and tested, MICIS will be retired.

This beta version of MACS is being made available at this time to give current MICIS users a chance to experience how MACS will look and function.  Note that a limited number of products are currently available on MACS. While we have tested and verified the products currently available, no guarantees can be made as to the reliability of the products until MACS is officially operational.  Products will be added to the menus as they become available.

There is no charge to MICIS subscribers for using MACS at this time, so please feel free to use it as much as you wish. We would appreciate any bug reports as well as any comments you have about the functionality and ease of use of the MACS interface. To leave us feedback, once you have logged into the MACS system, click on the "Send Feedback" link in the left pane to open an email message.

We hope to have the conversion of all of our products completed by the end of this calendar year.  When MICIS is retired, all MICIS accounts will be automatically switched over to MACS.
