An Inaugural Message
February 19, 2008
Hello, and welcome to the inaugural issue of the CDC Partnership Matters update.
Back in 2006, CDC held its first Leaders-to-Leaders Conference. It was there that partners voiced their needs, requesting better communication, stronger partner relations, and timely information sharing. You wanted to know what was going on at CDC in relation to how it affected your organization's goals and activities.
You spoke. We listened.
CDC Partnership Matters is a direct result of CDC's efforts to listen and learn from our partners, and is just one of many initiatives designed to address your concerns.
Every two weeks, CDC Partnership Matters will be distributed to CDC partners around the world. Look for it to be packed with information on CDC partnerships, public health initiatives involving CDC and its partners, personnel changes, reader feedback, and upcoming events and seminars.
We also invite you to visit our updated CDC Partners' Web site, for the latest news and information for and about CDC partnerships. Be sure to bookmark the site and check back regularly as we add more enhancements and interactivity over the coming months.
We hope you enjoy this first issue. Please feel free to provide feedback on ways to make this a more useful and effective communication tool.
