December 15, 2008
The objective of the course was to increase the quality of the information disseminated to our visitors on the Island
STRI staff scientist Mireya Correa and collaborators Maria Stapf and Carmen Galdames (from the left, sitting) offered a botany course designed for Public Programs naturalists guides on Barro Colorado Island. The objective of the course was to increase the quality of the information disseminated to our visitors on the Island. The course was attended by 20 guides at the Tupper Center from September 8-19 from 5:30 to 8:30pm, Monday through Friday. The training of docents is crucial to the image STRI conveys to the national and international community, since they are the face and voice of STRI to thousands of visitors every year.
