Commission Joins DOJ in Filing Amicus Briefs in Leegin Creative Leather Products v. PSKS, Inc. and Credit Suisse First Boston v. Glen Billing

Commission approval of joint amicus brief filings:

– The Commission has approved the filing of an amicus brief, jointly with the U.S. Department of Justice, in the case of Leegin Creative Leather Prods., Inc. v. PSKS, Inc. (S. Ct.) (No. 06-480). The Commission vote approving the filing of the joint brief was 3-2, with Commissioners Pamela Jones Harbour and Jon Leibowitz voting no. (FTC File No. P062103; the staff contact is John F. – The Commission has approved the filing of an amicus brief, jointly with the U.S. Department of Justice, in the case of Credit Suisse First Boston v. Glen Billing (S. Ct.) (No. 05-1157). At issue is whether the Court should reverse the decision of the Second Circuit Court of Appeals on narrow grounds. The Commission vote approving the filing of the joint brief was 5-0.
