Education

Our Space, Your Space, Cyber Space

NEW!

Education staff and docents welcome students and teachers to "our space" at two venues, the Smithsonian American Art Museum and its Renwick Gallery. At SAAM, interactive tours yield lively exchanges about our collection as windows on American history. At the Renwick Gallery, students handle and explore unique craft objects by contemporary artists to learn about process, material, and technique.

For students in metro-Washington, DC, who cannot visit our museums, for example, students who are incarcerated, our Education team will present programs in "your space."

Via real-time videoconferencing, our team will also work with your students across "cyber space," offering a full-range of programs through Artful Connections.
