2002 NSHMP Hazard Mapping

BEFORE YOU GENERATE A MAP:
The final maps are postscript and pdf format. I strongly suggest that you download, (free), the GSview utility which will allow you to view and print the map files from your browser. To read the pdf file you may download, (free), the Adobe Acrobat Reader.

The custom mapping data files are good for the Conterminous United States ONLY! Default values are highlighted in lists or entered in the boxes below (defaults are for large area maps) To tailor the map for your area make a selection from a list or type over the data in a box

Select type of map:
PE = probability of exceedance,
PGA = peak ground acceleration,
SA = spectral acceleration;

Select REGION of interest in longitude/latitude:
Specify boundaries in decimal degrees
(Only valid to tenths of a degree)
Use "-" to specify western longitudes.
Conterminous US: longitude -125 to -65 degrees,
latitude 24 to 50 degrees only.

West: East:
South: North:
