The Smithsonian's Anacostia Community Museum presents Baldemar Velásquez, founder and president of the Farm Labor Organizing Committee (FLOC), AFL-CIO, as keynote speaker for this year’s Martin Luther King, Jr. commemorative event. Velasquez will speak on the topic "Latinos and Civil Rights: Changing The Face of America." Organized by the Anacostia Community Museum, the program is co-sponsored by the Smithsonian Latino Center. Performing at the event will be Mexican folklore singer and musician, Rudy Arredondo.

Baldemar Velásquez and the Aguila Negra band’s album, Justice Has No Borders will be available for sale.
