Brent Kisling
State Director

Is there anything better than living in a small town in Oklahoma?  No, there isn’t and this is true only because of the aggressive leadership in our rural areas of the state.

If you are visiting this website as a resident of Oklahoma, you already know how great things are here, but if you are visiting from beyond our borders, then we welcome you to further research our state.  Between the wide-open plains of NW Oklahoma to the mountainous wooded areas of the SE, our state has it all including a very proud citizenry.

As part of USDA Rural Development, I enjoy being part of the system that gives rural Oklahoma a leg up. Rural Development oversees three program areas: Rural Housing, Rural Utilities and Rural Business-Cooperative Development.

On the following pages of this web site is detailed information concerning our programs and instructions on making application. If you have concerns or questions please call one of our sixteen offices in the state and we'll go out of our way to provide you with the best service and advice possible.

Rural America is at a crossroads where we need to focus on building infrastructure and establish solid employment opportunities. We then need more living rooms and office windows from which to enjoy the quality of life we have created.

If we can help you in your efforts to succeed in rural Oklahoma, please let us know. We would be glad to help.
