Water, sanitation and health training materials
"Catalysing change through technical and policy support, in ways that stimulate cooperation and action and help to build sustainable national and intercountry capacity."
is one of the core functions listed in the General Programme of Work 2002-2005 of WHO.
The Water Sanitation and Health Programme has produced training materials for improving health protection on the following topics:
- conducting health impact assessments;
- vector control and biology;
- managing drinking water quality;
- managing wastes from health-care activities; and
- for developing participatory approaches for the control of diarrhoeal disease.
