The Southwest Fire Use Management Team (FUMT) is an interagency team whose primary purpose is to MANAGE wildland fires to accomplish specific resource management objectives. The Team is fully qualified as a short Type II Team and consists of 11 primary team members. The Southwest FUMT was founded in 2004, and since then has assisted in the management of Wildland Fire Use (WFU) and wildland fires in Minnesota, New Mexico, Arizona, Idaho, Montana and California.
