Description: The National Museum of Industrial History will tell the story of America's industrial achievements and accomplishments of its inventors, managers and workers, and preserve the record of industry's development and advancements from the mid 1800's to the present. Located on the former Bethlehem Steel site in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, the museum will become a multi-use family education complex.
Profile: The National Museum of Industrial History's affiliation is primarily focused on a relationship with the Smithsonian's National Museum of American History. Close collaboration is involving extensive long-term loans and scholarship on exhibitions. Numerous large-scale artifacts--such as locomotives and steam engines--and many smaller pieces will be on display at the National Museum of Industrial History on a long-term basis when the full facility opens to the public.
