Description: Since the 1920s, the fine arts building and its annual exhibits have been a staple of the Los Angeles County Fair. Named after its visionary director, the Millard Sheets Center for the Arts at Fairplex began as an annual showcase for Southern California artists and now attracts national talent. The Gallery's overall purpose is to promote public appreciation of the visual arts.
Profile: Currently, the Gallery is working with the Smithsonian to explore ideas for ongoing projects and ways to bring the Smithsonian to visitors year-round.
