Profile: In 2004, the Pinhead Institute, in conjunction with NMNH, hosted the Encyclopedia of Life (EoL) symposium – a four-day gathering of some of the world’s leading technologists and biologists – to discuss the development of a digital encyclopedia filled with scientific names and data about all known species of life. The Pinhead continues to work with NMNH staff to develop an EoL prototype database.
