Residential Dust Cleanup Program (Concluded Summer 2003)
The EPA implemented a voluntary Residential Dust Cleanup Program for which registration ended on December 28, 2002. Residents could choose to have their residence professionally cleaned, followed by confirmatory testing, or they could choose to just have their homes tested. The Final Report for the WTC Residential Dust Cleanup Program is now available.

Lower Manhattan Demolition and Deconstruction Activities (Ongoing)
A number of Lower Manhattan residential and commercial buildings in the immediate vicinity of the World Trade Center were damaged on September 11. The majority have been repaired, cleaned and re-occupied. EPA has taken the lead in coordinating the efforts of federal, state and city agencies to ensure that Lower Manhattan Demolition and Deconstruction Activities proceed in a manner that protects the health of people who live and work in the area.
